Los Santos Police Department - British Callsigns
Hello LSPD members, you may be asking yourself, "What is a Callsign?". Well, a Callsign is a code name you may be called by other officers and departments. It's pretty much your law identity. In the LSPD, I'm themeing it with the London Metropolitan Police, so we'll be using realistic callsigns. You do not "Pick" your own call signs, you may only pick your three Numbers. When you first join, you become a "TP" officer which is standard for atleast a week and you get promoted and a chance to transfer into Armed Police, Traffic, or BTP. (BTP - British Transport Police, the police who transport criminals from Traffic or Armed or TP officers.) You may also relate your call sign to your "Collar Number". We currently only offer 3 Divisions which will be TP, SCO19, BTP, OCU. (These will be explained below).
Territorial Policing (TP)
TP officers are responsible for foot and vehicular patrols, patrolling
and responding to emergencies.
Territorial Policing is the heart of the LSPD and officers are expected to respond to and report
on a wider range of calls than any other Branch. This is ‘Total Policing’ at its finest.
Traffic Operational Command Unit (OCU)
OCU officers are responsible for vehicular patrols, patrolling and responding to emergencies.
OCU is responsible for all road safety situations and advise officers of other branches on scenes.
The primary role of OCU Officers on patrol is the safe progress and conclusion of vehicular
pursuits and other road incidents.
Special Crime Operations Section 19 (SCO19)
SCO19 officers are responsible for vehicular patrols, patrolling and responding to emergencies involving firearms
and suspected terrorist activity. SCO19 is responsible for all firearms situations and advise officers of other
branches on scenes.
The primary role of SCO19 Officers on patrol is the safe conclusion of firearms incidents including pursuits
involving armed suspects.
Ranks and Numbers
With call signs, their designated by their numbers. So, 1-100 would be the highest ranking officer, and in the thousand region would be the lowest.
This shows what numbers that specific rank can use. When promoted or demote, you must change the number in your call sign. If someone was something like [SO-400] and was promoted by 1 rank, you'd then be [SO-300] and it gets smaller. The bigger the number, the lower the rank.
